The Iowa Blues Showcase features local, regional, and national blues artists. It is both new live shows, and archive shows going back to the 1980s.

This was the second part of the October 2003 Iowa blues showcase.   It originally aired on the Iowa Blues Showcase internet radio station.  It starred Gary Smith, Clover Buckingham, Dennis Kain, and Jeff Baker.  Also on the show was Kyle Dean Patton, and Rob Lumbard.  We do where in the world is Woody!  and Jeff's wife calls the show:-)   Finally we have a mystery drummer named Mike who played with Gary Smith and the land sharks.  

The show was produced by Jay Taylor and Tom Gary.  Director of Bands was Jono Smith, with John Lee Eagan, Frank Strong and Rick Mosqueda.

This was originally recorded on July 15th of 2000.  It was Jimmy Pyror at The Bowlful of Blues festival, put on by the South Skunk Blues Society at the Maytag Bowl in Newton Iowa.  It stars Jimmy Pryor on Kazoo and Vocal, Tom Gary on Piano and Vocal, Jon East on Guitar and Vocal, Scott Cochran on Bass and Vocal, and Brian Connett on Drums.   Jeff Hart and Don "T-Bone" Erickson were the announcers.   

Also great news!  John Woody Wood is being inducted into the Iowa Rock and Roll Hall of Fame!!!!!!!!  Listen to the end of the show for more details!!

Tonights show is a long one, and a great one!   Its the Sunday Night Blues Showcase from the Hull Ave sometime around May, or June of 1999!   This features Jimmy Pryor in his prime, with John "Woody Wood!   Our guest for the night was the Legendary Jon East with special appearance by Clarence Key Jr!   Almost two hours of blues tonight!!!!!!

The show was produced and recorded by Tom Gary.  The house band was Scott Long, Tom Gary, John Wood, and Jim Farr with lead vocals by Jimmy "The Midnite Cowboy" Pryor.  Also on the show was Jeff Ward.
